The Easiest Robots to Get Out of the Pool
Every robot has to come out of the pool to be emptied, and for many owners that is the part that decides whether it gets used. Two things decide it. The first is whether the robot comes to you: a model that parks at the wall or floats to the surface is lifted by its handle from the deck, while one that stops wherever the cycle ended has to be pulled or hooked up from the floor. The second is weight, and a robot full of water weighs more than its spec sheet — which is why several makers design theirs to drain on the way up.
How this list is ordered: Robots with a published weight, ordered with self-parking models first and then by weight, lightest first. 32 of the catalog’s robots qualify.
