Cordless Robots Rated for Bigger Pools Than Their Battery Covers
Cordless makers quote pool size in square feet, which sounds precise and hides the assumption: that the robot covers the pool's plan area, once, on a floor-only pass. Walls are real surface too — a 16 by 32 ft pool has nearly as much wall as floor. Every robot below claims a pool noticeably bigger than the one its own runtime covers at a floor-and-wall pace taken from Maytronics' own ratings. That does not make them bad robots. It means the number on the box is the best case, and the arithmetic on each row is the ordinary one.
How this list is ordered: Cordless robots whose maker's pool claim is more than 10 % beyond the pool its published runtime covers at 13 sq ft a minute, ordered by the size of the gap. 11 of the catalog’s robots qualify.
